Newdigate Bowls Club

John, the organiser, would like to share some exciting news from Newdigate Bowls Club. Nestled in the lovely village of Dorking, this friendly lawn bowls club is all about promoting the sport and welcoming new members. They’ve got both playing and social memberships on offer, so there's something for everyone.

The bowls season at Newdigate kicks off from mid-April and runs until mid-September, giving plenty of time to get involved. This year, they’re hosting two fantastic Open Days. The first is on Sunday, 29th May, during Bowls England's BIG WEEKEND, and the second is on Sunday, 5th June, marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Both events start at 2pm and seasoned members will be on hand to show newcomers the ropes. Whether you're aiming for a bit of competition or just some gentle exercise and social fun, they’d love you to join in.

Remember to bring flat shoes, as stilettos and heavy-tread boots are a no-go on the bowls green.

John wants you to know that Newdigate Bowls Club is just the place whether you're a newbie or a seasoned pro. Every Tuesday evening at 6pm during the season, there’s a 'Club Night' where members can gather for some relaxed play, improve their skills, and have a good laugh together.

A big shout-out goes to the Gatwick Airport Community Trust for their generous grants. Thanks to their support, the club now boasts a new equipment shed and improved surrounds for the Green, ensuring everyone’s safety.
