In recent years, catch rates at New Platt Fisheries have been excellent, with an average of 2 trout per hour in March 2019. Despite the challenges of lockdown and restricted fishing, the club still managed a catch rate of 40 fish in June. While members enjoy trout fishing on a catch and release basis, they are allowed to take two fish per visit. Regular stocking and catch and release policies ensure an abundance of fish for everyone to enjoy.
