Newquay & Par Athletics Club

Located in the South West of Par, Newquay & Par Athletics Club (AC) is a prestigious sports club with a rich history of success. Established in 1984 through the merger of Par AC and Newquay AC, the club has grown to become one of the leading athletic clubs in the region, boasting a membership of over 180 individuals.

The club has two active bases, Par Track and Newquay, which cater to the training needs of athletes from east, mid, and north Cornwall. Newquay & Par AC offers year-round training programmes in various athletic disciplines, including track and field athletics, cross-country, and junior sportshall. The club also has a bilateral agreement with Newquay Road Runners, providing opportunities for members to compete in road running events.

Members of Newquay & Par AC span a wide age range, from 8 to 60 years old. The club prides itself on its diverse talent pool, accommodating individuals who are keen on staying fit, those who are more competitive and strive to improve their personal bests, as well as athletes at the forefront of the international arena.

The home base and main training facility of Newquay & Par AC is the Par Athletic Track, which is owned by the Cornwall County Council. This well-maintained facility provides athletes with ample space for training and competition, featuring high-quality track surfaces, field event areas, and training equipment.
