

Welcome to Northgate Walkers, a friendly sports club located in Brisbane. We invite you to join us for a leisurely walk around the neighbourhood, promoting physical activity, social connexion, and a healthy lifestyle.
Our walking group meets twice a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 4:30 pm. The duration of our walks usually ranges between 60 to 75 minutes, ensuring a moderate pace that suits all fitness levels. Currently, our group consists of 23 members, creating a supportive and inclusive community atmosphere.
We understand the importance of accommodating different needs and preferences. That's why our walks are both dog-friendly and pram/wheelchair friendly, encouraging everyone to participate. Our meeting point is conveniently located across the road from Rhino Espresso café on Northgate Road. You can find us at 135 Northgate Rd, Northgate, 4013.
By joining our walking group, you'll have the opportunity to explore the beautiful surroundings of Brisbane, enjoy fresh air, and experience the numerous health benefits of regular physical activity. Walking has been proven to reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes by 30 to 40 percent. It also helps manage weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels, reduces the risk of certain cancers, and improves balance and coordination.
