About
Sensei Ann Kitchener welcomes the sports community to North Kent Ju-Jitsu Kai (NKJJK) in Gravesend, Kent. Ann invites everyone, no matter their age or skill level, to join and learn Ju-Jitsu, a Japanese martial art focused on practical self-defence.
NKJJK is open to all and offers structured classes for various age groups, starting from 6 years old. The club ensures a smooth progression of skills, with students advancing through different belts and grades. There's even an option to learn advanced techniques and weapon training as you progress.
There are four locations within Gravesend to choose from, catering to both children and adults. The flexible class schedule makes it easy for students to find a time that works for them.
The dedicated instructor team at NKJJK comes with a wealth of experience and qualifications. Ann, a 6th Dan, has 35 years of experience, and her husband, Sensei Terry Kitchener, a 5th Dan, has 36 years under his belt. Other notable instructors include Sensei Grant Wakeman (4th Dan), Sensei Trudi Kitchener (3rd Dan), and Sensei Glenn Williamson (1st Dan).
Ann and her team ensure a positive and respectful learning environment, adhering to a code of conduct that promotes discipline and respect. Students not only build physical strength but also mental resilience and a sense of community.
