About
Mark Logan wants to share some exciting news with our sports community. Mark’s pride and joy, Obstacle Play Park (OPP), nestled in the heart of Redhill, is not your typical gym. It's an outdoor training haven for anyone looking to boost their fitness and OCR (obstacle course racing) skills.
Mark, a seasoned Spartan SGX Level 2 coach and Spartan Obstacle Specialist Instructor, has created a space that’s inviting to both beginners and seasoned pros. OPP boasts the largest collection of Spartan obstacles in the UK, including some that you’d usually only find in European races. It's a unique and practical way to train in the fresh air and a top spot for Spartan racers.
But it's not all about Spartan. Mark’s background includes competing in numerous European races, and he’s woven that experience into OPP's offerings. The park features a range of OCR obstacles inspired by these courses, along with some creative twists to keep things challenging and fun.
There’s also Race Sim Sundays – a thrilling 3k course with around 60 obstacles to tackle. Fail an obstacle, and you'll have to face penalty loops. It’s a proper race-like challenge, and timings are recorded so you can see how you stack up.
OPP offers various training options to suit different needs. You can opt for open practise sessions to work through the obstacles at your own pace, join obstacle bootcamp classes for a structured workout, or book private coaching sessions for a more personalised approach.
For those looking to celebrate in a unique way, OPP even hosts party events. It’s all about enjoying the experience and pushing your limits in a supportive environment.
Sharing Mark's passion is Nicola Constant-Glemas, who has been part of the OCR scene for eight years. She assists on training days, bringing her own love for OCR, surfing, and snowboarding to the park.
Mark, an experienced OCR runner, surfer, and snowboarder, is driven by a passion for helping people reach their goals – whether that's gaining general fitness, taking on their first OCR, or honing their skills to become competitive racers.
Come and join Mark, Nicola, and the OPP community. It’s a space where you can grow, challenge yourself, and most importantly, have fun.
