Established by a group of police officers 27 years ago, Odd Squad Productions Society is a charity based in Burnaby that focuses on delivering prevention programs for youth in the Lower Mainland, throughout BC, across Canada, and around the world. With the motto “It is Better to Prevent than Heal”, Odd Squad Productions Society provides drug and gang prevention education for youth through film and education programs, as well as physical literacy initiatives.
The society's programs aim to tackle issues such as drug abuse, gang violence, and the negative impact they have on young individuals. Through their Drug Education Programs, Gangs Presentations, and documentaries like “Understanding Fentanyl”, Odd Squad Productions Society strives to educate and raise awareness among youth to prevent them from falling into harmful behaviours.
In addition to their prevention programs, Odd Squad Productions Society also organizes events like “The Big 50/50 for BC Kids” to raise funds in support of three amazing organizations. They also run the Police Judo Juniors program, focusing on physical literacy and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among youth.
To stay up to date on current projects and find out how to get involved or support their cause, individuals can follow Odd Squad Productions Society on social media or join their newsletter. The society also offers membership options and sponsorship opportunities for those looking to contribute to their important work in helping youth stay away from drugs and gang activities.
By engaging with Odd Squad Productions Society, individuals can play a part in making a positive impact on the lives of young people and helping to create a safer and healthier community for everyone.
