Join the excitement at Old Boltonians AFC! Established in 1920, this football club in Chapeltown, Bolton, is part of the Lancashire Amateur League, BSF Over 35's League, Greater Manchester County Women's League, and the Lancashire FA. Charlie and his crew are dedicated to welcoming Bolton School families, friends, and any footy fanatics.
Love football? Come watch our three teams battle it out in the Lancashire Amateur League on Saturdays. Plus, catch the Vets and Boltonians Ladies showing off their skills on Sundays. It’s a perfect weekend out!
Our historic pitches at Turton Football Ground on Tower Street are the oldest still in use and featured in British Football's Greatest Grounds. Pretty cool, right?
To keep things running smoothly, we ask our players to sign up, pay their membership, and support the club. It costs a fair bit to keep the magic alive, over £30k a year, but it means top-notch facilities for everyone.
We've got your back! Registered players covered by our club insurance scheme can play worry-free. Big thanks to our sponsors – they’re the unsung heroes helping our club thrive. Check out our directory and support those who support us!
Got any cracking photos or stories? Charlie would love to see them for our website. Interested in playing? Give Roger Milne or Nick Holt a shout. Whether you're a Bolton School alum or just a keen player, all are welcome.
Need any info? Reach out to Harry Lane (President), Richard Morris (Chairman), or Dave Hughes (Vice-Chairman). Nick Holt is the go-to Secretary, with Roger Milne handling Treasurer and Membership tasks. Our pitch is in safe hands with Dave Lee, while Roger Milne also runs the 300 Club, and Jon Twist manages the website.
And let's not forget a massive thank you to our Honorary Life Members – H. Lane ESQ., DJ Lee ESQ., and JG Twist ESQ. – for their legendary contributions.
Cheers for checking us out! Charlie and the gang can't wait to welcome you to Old Boltonians AFC.
