Omarama Golf Course is a typical New Zealand 9-hole course that offers variety by changing tee locations on the second nine. Some holes change from par 4 to par 5 or par 4 to par 3, and a par 3 hole changes in distance from 145 metres to 195 metres. The course is designed in a clover leaf pattern, which means every three holes pass by the 19th hole. This design is useful for shelter during inclement weather in winter or for a refreshing break during the heat of summer.
