Im Jason, co-founder of Om Shanti and also an owner of Eight Limbs Yoga. My journey with yoga began in 2008 when I started practising Ashtanga Yoga. I quickly fell in love with the practice and its ability to bring peace and stillness to my mind. In 2016, I completed my first teacher training under the guidance of David Robson at the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Toronto.
Since then, I have continued to deepen my practice and study with various teachers around the world. Yoga has not only helped me physically but has also provided me with tools to navigate the ups and downs of life with a sense of calm and equanimity. I am passionate about sharing the transformative power of yoga with others and am dedicated to helping our trainees become confident and knowledgeable teachers.
Our school, Om Shanti School of Yoga, is a place where students can immerse themselves in the teachings of yoga, learn the art of teaching, and deepen their own practice. Our intensive 200-hour teacher training program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of yoga philosophy, anatomy, alignment, and teaching methodologies. We believe that yoga is more than just physical postures it is a holistic practice that encompasses the mind, body, and spirit. Our mission is to equip our trainees with the knowledge and skills to confidently teach a well-sequenced Hatha yoga class rooted in tradition and mindfulness.
