At OnStage Dance Competition, our mission is to inspire participants to achieve excellence and be recognized for their hard work in a rewarding and fun environment. We aim to enhance participants' OnStage presence in a positive atmosphere.

OnStage Dance Competition was founded by Rhonda Bignucolo and Melanie McNamara, who both bring a wealth of experience in dance education and competition. Rhonda, with a background in corporate Human Resources and a passion for dance since childhood, is dedicated to providing a memorable competition experience. Melanie, with over 24 years of experience as a Dance Educator and studio owner, brings high energy and entrepreneurial passion to the competition.

The competitions at OnStage Dance Competition take place at various locations in Ottawa, such as the Algonquin Commons Theatre, providing participants with a professional stage to showcase their talent. We offer live-streaming of our competitions for those unable to attend in person, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience the excitement of OnStage Dance Competition.

Our team of adjudicators provide well-rounded critiques to help participants improve their technique and performance. We believe in creating a supportive environment where dancers can make new friends, support each other, and strive to reach new goals. We encourage dancers at all levels – competitive, recreational, and professional – to participate and challenge themselves to excel.
