

Within the Gosling Creek Reserve. The course begins by completing part of the internal Gosling Creek loop before heading onto Forest Road in a southerly direction. Runners will then complete additional loops down Orchard Road, Forest Reefs Road, and Spring Terrace Road before returning to Gosling Creek Reserve along Forest Road. The course consists of bitumen sealed roads and paths within the reserve.
Drink stations offering water and sports drinks are provided along the course.
The half-marathon course at Orange Running Festival has been World Athletics/AIMS certified, making it eligible for earning ranking points, as well as qualification for championships and events. It is a scenic and gently undulating course, allowing participants to enjoy the beautiful cool climate of Orange. Participants must be 18 years and older on race day to enter the half-marathon event.
Registration for the half-marathon opens on Friday, 1 September 2023, and closes at 4:00 PM on Saturday, 9 March 2024. Early bird registration costs $100 until December 31, with a full price entry of $120 thereafter. There will be no entries allowed on the day of the event. Participants are advised to arrive at 6:30 AM for check-in, with a race brief at 6:50 AM.
The race will commence at 7:00 AM.
Participants must reach certain points on the course by specific times. By 9:45 AM, they must reach the intersection of Orchard Road and Forest Road at the 21 km mark. By 11:50 AM, they must reach the intersection of Forest Road and Orchard Road at the 34 km mark. Finally, by 12:30 PM, participants must reach the rear entrance to Gosling Creek at the 41 km mark.
Race bib collection for the half-marathon will take place on Friday, 8 March 2024, at Elephant Park on Woodward Street in Orange, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. On Saturday, 9 March 2024, participants can collect their bibs at Gosling Creek Reserve from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Bib collection will also be available on the day of the race, Sunday, 10 March 2024, at Gosling Creek Reserve from 6:00 AM.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers, with $400 for first place, $250 for second place, and $150 for third place. Every participant who finishes the half-marathon will receive a medal. Additionally, prizes will be given to the first-place finisher in each age category.
