The Ocean Racing Club of Victoria is excited to announce the Weather for Sailors online course, a fantastic opportunity for sailors looking to boost their meteorological knowledge. Led by Ray Shaw and Simon Dryden, this course is perfect for all levels of sailors, whether you're an ocean racer, cruiser, or just a keen boater. The course is split into three modules, each designed to give you a well-rounded understanding of marine weather.
Module 1, 'The Fundamentals, Enclosed Waters,' is a great starting point for those looking to grasp the basics of weather. No previous experience required! Module 2, 'Coastal Sailing (Voyages 3+ days),' builds on the knowledge of Module 1 and is ideal for sailors planning longer coastal trips. For those ready to tackle Trans-Oceanic passages, Module 3, 'Trans Ocean and Extended Voyages,' will equip you with the skills needed to plan for extended journeys.
