With over 20 years of experience studying wellness and personal development, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his teachings. He understands that there are many misconceptions and old attitudes about meditation that can discourage people from developing a thriving practise. His mission is to break down these obstacles and make meditation accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
At Our Heart Perceptions, Michael believes that the best way to develop an individual meditation practise is in a supportive small group or through one-on-one coaching. Rather than providing generic direction and instruction, he encourages participants to discover what works best for them. Courses, workshops, and retreats offered at Our Heart Perceptions are intentionally limited to no more than 12 participants to ensure a personalised and intimate experience.
Yoga is also a core offering at Our Heart Perceptions. Michael recognises that real yoga is not about being flexible, skinny, or strong enough to perform complex poses, as depicted on social media. Instead, he believes in bringing all the parts of oneself together through movement, breath, and tender awareness of emotions and sensations. The Asana classes at Our Heart Perceptions focus on creating a safe and inclusive environment where individuals can explore and nurture their bodies and minds.
In addition to meditation and yoga, Michael also incorporates Reiki therapy into his offerings at Our Heart Perceptions. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing on physical, mental, and emotional levels. Through gentle touch and energy transfer, Michael helps individuals restore balance and harmony within themselves.
