Outback Wing Chun is a renowned martial arts school located in Boonah, Australia. The club is dedicated to promoting Cultural Exchange, with a View to World Peace, through Martial Arts. Led by Sifu Gordon, who has been trained by and received the 9 Principles of Wing Chun from Grandmaster Ip Chun, the school upholds the lineage and principles of Wing Chun.
Since January 2012, Outback Wing Chun has proudly represented Grandmaster Ip Chun and Australia in various prestigious events, including the Wing Chun World Titles held in Foshan, China, and the Martial Arts Olympics in St Petersburg, Russia. While the focus is not solely on winning medals, the school utilises these opportunities to promote Cultural Exchange through the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu.
The school's dedication to Cultural Exchange has been recognised globally, with Sifu Gordon being awarded the Medal of Merit in Martial Arts from the Confederation of Martial Arts President Professor Nikolai Smirnov in Russia in 2016. Outback Wing Chun also fosters relationships with esteemed individuals such as Mr Li Tao, Locun Culture Director, and Mr Liu Jing Hong, Guang Dong Provence Cultural Assistant Director, from Foshan, China.
Outback Wing Chun prides itself on its talented practitioners, including Sifu Daniel Chan, the current World Wing Chun Open Competition Title Holder for Muk Yan Jong (Wooden Dummy), training at their Ipswich Branch. The school's dedication to excellence is evident in its commitment to constantly improving and showcasing the art of Wing Chun.
