About
Rachel Kirby would like to extend a warm invitation to the sports community on behalf of Oxmardyke Equestrian Centre. Located on the outskirts of Gilberdyke in Brough, this modern facility was established by Rachel in 1997 and has grown from just 3 horses and ponies to a thriving centre with 20 horses and ponies stabled.
At Oxmardyke, there's something for everyone, regardless of age or experience. From beginners to seasoned riders, the centre offers various lessons and activities. You'll find opportunities for riding lessons, hacking, dressage, and show jumping, all under the guidance of qualified British Horse Society instructors.
The facility features both indoor and outdoor arenas. The indoor school measures 20m × 40m, and there's a viewing area for spectators. For outdoor training, a floodlit 30m × 60m menage is available. Additional amenities include a classroom, 20 indoor stables, a secure tack room, a feed room, and a wash box. There are also toilets and a car park for visitors' convenience.
Oxmardyke offers more than just riding lessons; it has a variety of programmes to cater to everyone. Activities range from RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) to home education, pony days, junior and teen equestrian clubs, pony playgroup, adult riding, summer camps, hacking, birthday parties, and much more.
Rachel strongly believes in making horse riding accessible and enjoyable for all. With a diverse range of horses and ponies, there's something suitable for every rider.
