Founded 59 years ago as a breakaway from the Padstow Pirates, Padstow United has established itself as a family-oriented club with a strong focus on family values, team spirit, and community involvement. All of our club members are recruited from the local area, ensuring a close-knit and supportive community atmosphere.
In the 2019 season, Padstow United boasted 27 teams, including 21 junior teams, 5 Senior Men teams, and 1 Ladies Team. With approximately 300 players, our club provides ample opportunities for individuals of all ages and genders to participate in the beautiful game of soccer.
Our club colours are Orange and Black, and our logo features the head of a tiger, symbolising our strength and determination on the field. We take great pride in our club's rich history and the achievements of our players, both past and present.
Padstow United calls Playford Park its home ground. While the facilities have come a long way since our early days, we still cherish the memories of running the canteen out of a tent and the challenges posed by the gravel pit-like playing surface. In 2000, an extension was completed, giving us a spacious clubhouse with a modern kitchen, which has become a symbol of our progress and commitment to providing a comfortable environment for our members and visitors.
As a club, our mission is to encourage and facilitate the participation and enjoyment of sports, including soccer, for boys, girls, men, and women alike. We truly believe in the transformative power of sport and its ability to foster teamwork, discipline, and personal growth.
