Middlesbrough Judo offers judo sessions on various days throughout the week. On Mondays, children between the ages of 5 and 10 are welcome to join the club from 6 pm to 6:45 pm, followed by 10 to 14-year-olds from 7 pm to 7:45 pm. The sessions continue with adults aged 14 and above from 8 pm to 9:30 pm.
Additionally, there are sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays catering to children between 4 and 14 years old, as well as adults. The club also organises training workshops and residential judo camps during school holidays, providing extra opportunities for members to hone their skills and connect with other judokas.
Middlesbrough Judo is proud to be recognised as an England Talent Development Centre (ETDC), and they play a crucial role in shaping the judo player pathway for aspiring athletes. As part of the ETDC programme, the club focuses on building technical and physical capability through regular randori sessions. This approach allows fighters to train with quality partners closer to home, reducing travel costs and enabling a larger number of competitive fighters to emerge from the region.
