Welcome to Palmerston Indoor Bowls Club, Fareham! We offer a friendly and welcoming environment for all, whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out. Try your hand at this addictive sport without the need for your own equipment; we provide a selection of bowls and bowling shoes for your use. We even have specially adapted wheelchairs for those with movement difficulties.

In bowls, the objective is to roll biassed balls called “woods” as close as possible to a smaller ball known as the “jack. ” We have both flat-green and crown green bowling greens, ensuring there's a suitable format for everyone.

Palmerston Indoor Bowls Club provides excellent opportunities for all bowlers, regardless of skill level. Beginners can join in regular organised drives, where teams are chosen randomly, allowing you to meet new friends quickly. We also have weekly League teams and regular friendly matches with other clubs, encouraging bowlers of all abilities to participate. For the more competitive players, there are club and national competitions in both singles and teams.

Our club captains carefully select sides for local leagues, regional, and national team competitions. And if you just want to have a casual game, you can hire a rink and play with your friends.

Our main winter season runs from September to March. However, we still have a dedicated group of members who enjoy indoor bowling year-round. Don't miss out on our social events, such as Race Nights, Themed Dinners, Cabaret Suppers, Quiz Nights, and special celebrations for Christmas and New Year. We also support local charities through dedicated events, and our current charity is the Fareham and Gosport Basics Bank.

Looking for a venue for your special occasion? Our Function Room is available for hire by members for family celebrations, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, retirements, and more.

Palmerston Indoor Bowls Club is affiliated with several national, regional, and county associations, including the English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd (EIBA), Hampshire Indoor Bowls Association (HIBA), Hampshire County Women's Indoor Bowls Association (HCWIBA), and the London & Southern Counties Indoor Bowls Association (L&SCIBA).
