Welcome to Park Foot Pony Trekking Centre, located in Ullswater Lake District, New Zealand. With breathtaking views of the open fells and Ullswater Lake, a visit to our horse riding school is sure to be a magical experience. We are open seasonally from the end of March to mid-November.

At Park Foot Pony Trekking, we prioritise safety and enjoyment for all riders. Our friendly staff is available to assist you between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Please note that phone calls are required for bookings and payments, while text, email, or messenger messages are for inquiries only.

One of our unique features is that we don't ride on any roads. Instead, we venture straight onto the fells, offering stunning views over Ullswater Lake, known as the most scenic lake within the Lake District. Our riding experiences cater to both adults and children, starting from 4 years of age. Children can be led if possible, and parents may be asked to accompany them on foot.

To ensure your safety and comfort, riding hats and waterproofs are included for free, and we ride rain or shine. With over 30 years of experience, Park Foot Pony Trekking Ullswater has a reputation for excellence. Our well-trained horses can carry weights up to 13 stone, but we strictly enforce this limit for the safety of the riders and the well-being of our ponies.

We offer a range of trek prices for different durations, starting from Pony Paddock Rides for 5 each (for ages 3-14) around the Paddock for approximately 5 minutes. Our longer rides include the 30 Minute Holiday Park Ride for 20, 30 Minute Fell Ride for 25, 45 Minute Fell Ride for 30, and 1 Hour Fell Ride for 35. Remember to book in advance to secure your preferred time slot and trek.

Please note that our fell treks have strict age and weight limits, requiring participants to be 4 years or older, with a weight limit of 13 stone. Refunds will not be given if these limits are not adhered to. We appreciate your honesty in providing accurate age and weight information during booking.

Family members who are not riding are also welcome to join and witness the scenic beauty of Ullswater Lake. Appropriate footwear is a must as the terrain can be uneven. During the trek, we kindly request that all mobile phones are kept on silent to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

To reward our loyal customers, we offer a loyalty card that allows you to buy 5 separate hours and get 1 hour free. This offer cannot be used by groups or in conjunction with any other offer. Please note that once you have paid for your ride, no refunds will be available.

To ensure a smooth and timely experience, please arrive at the trekking centre at least half an hour prior to your scheduled trek starting time. Late arrivals will result in the trek starting without you, and no compensation will be provided for lost time.
