Welcome players of all ages and abilities to join our club. We believe in fostering an environment of support, respect, and sportsmanship, where individuals can develop their skills and reach their full potential while enjoying the game of netball.
Established in 1969, Park Panthers Central Lynx Netball Club has a long and proud history. Originally known as Parklands Netball Club, we merged with junior club Pascoe Vale Panthers Netball Club in the 1980s to become the Park Panthers. Throughout the years, we have achieved success on both junior and senior levels, winning several topships. Our recent success includes five teams competing in the finals during the Autumn 2021 season.
Our club is proud to have produced talented players who have gone on to represent Parkville, as well as compete in State League and Australian League netball. One notable player is Liz Watson, who started her netball career as a junior at Park Panthers and now plays for the Melbourne Vixens.
We currently have 11 teams playing junior and senior netball at two prestigious venues, the State Netball and Hockey Centre and the Riverside Fairbairn Sports Precinct. Our club has developed a strong supporter base consisting of families and friends who come together to cheer on our teams.
At Park Panthers Central Lynx Netball Club, we believe that netball plays a crucial role in building communities and fostering social connexions. We offer a range of teams to cater to different interests and skill levels. Whether you want to play competitively, socially, or simply improve your skills and knowledge of the game, we have a team that will suit your needs.
Our club is run entirely by dedicated volunteers, including our committee, coaches, and support staff. All our volunteers have valid Work with Children Checks to ensure the safety and well-being of our players.
If you're passionate about netball and looking to join a fun and friendly club, we invite you to become a part of Park Panthers Central Lynx Netball Club. We are currently recruiting players for Spring 2023, from ages 5 to adults, with any level of experience. Our training sessions are held on Friday evenings at the Broadmeadows Aquatic & Leisure Centre, and our competition games take place at the State Netball & Hockey Centre in Parkville.
