Hey everyone,
Andrew here, just wanted to give you a quick update on what’s happening at Penrith Divers.
First off, there's an annual renewal fee of £10.
For those looking to join training courses, the cost varies with the level. The Ocean Diver course is £250, and the Sports Diver course is £350. These fees cover materials, equipment and instructor fees.
Beginners, we’ve got you covered with basic diving equipment for pool training. As you get more into diving, you’ll need to get your own gear, and costs will depend on your preferences.
Penrith Divers also organise regular dive trips. The cost depends on where we’re going, how long we’re staying and accommodation. You'll be responsible for your own travel, accommodation and any extra costs.
Our team consists of six experienced and qualified instructors. They're all passionate about diving and are eager to share their knowledge. They ensure everyone gets the guidance and support they need to develop their diving skills.
We offer several training courses from beginners to advanced divers:
- Ocean Diver: Entry-level course for fundamental diving skills.
- Sports Diver: Builds on Ocean Diver with advanced techniques.
- Dive Leader: Focuses on leadership skills for leading dive groups.
- Advanced Diver: For experienced divers wanting to enhance their skills.
- First Aid: Essential training for handling underwater emergencies.
We’re proud of our excellent safety record. We follow strict safety guidelines and protocols set by the Sub-Aqua Association. Safety is a top priority, and all members undergo regular training and assessments.
Our diving spots include the Lakes, Capernwray, and regular sea dives at places like St Abbs and Loch Long. We also have an annual summer trip to warmer waters like Malta, Lanzarote, or Sharm el Sheikh.
If you’re keen to join, check out the 'contact us' page on our website or visit Penrith Leisure Centre on Sunday mornings during our training sessions. We welcome all ages and experience levels.
We also host social events throughout the year, like summer gatherings, Christmas celebrations and club meetings at local cafés. It's a great chance to connect with each other outside of diving.
In a nutshell, Penrith Divers is all about training, dives and a supportive community for divers of all levels. Our experienced team and commitment to safety make it a great place for scuba enthusiasts to learn and explore the underwater world.
Cheers,
Andrew
