Penyrheol Swimming Club is a Swim Wales affiliated club located in Gorseinon, Swansea. Since the early 1970s, the club has been dedicated to providing a safe and friendly environment for swimming development within the community. The club is run and coached by a passionate group of volunteers who offer coach-led sessions ranging from 2 to 7. 5 hours per week.
These sessions are designed for swimmers who have completed swimming lessons and are looking to further enhance their skills.
As a club, Penyrheol Swimming Club actively participates in competitions at both regional and national levels. This allows swimmers to showcase their abilities and strive for excellence. Joining Penyrheol Swimming Club is a simple process. Interested individuals can get in touch with the club through their contact page, providing details about their child's swimming ability. Upon review, the club will extend an invitation to attend one of their sessions for a trial swim. This trial swim assists in assessing the individual's swimming ability and determining the most suitable squad for them.
After the trial period, if a suitable space is available, the individual will be informed and provided with a joining pack to complete and return.
The club operates on a monthly membership fee system with payments made via Standing Order. In addition to this, all swimming clubs and their members are required to be affiliated with Swim Wales, and membership fees for this are paid separately through the Just Go website.
