Susan, the organiser of Performers Dance Academy, welcomes everyone to a place where children and students of all levels can explore various dance styles. Established in August 2006 in Kirkintilloch, the Academy offers classes in Classical Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, and Street Dance, catering to both newcomers and seasoned dancers.
Susan aims to create a friendly and relaxed environment at Performers Dance Academy, helping students reach their highest potential. Whether dancing for fun or a career, the Academy starts welcoming children from the age of 2 and continues with students of all ages.
Classes take place at Scout Hall, Jubilee Path in Bearsden, on Thursdays and Saturdays, making it convenient for everyone.
The Academy is more than just a place to learn dance. Susan and her team strive to encourage an active and healthy lifestyle through dance, promoting fitness alongside essential skills like discipline, coordination, flexibility, and stamina. The students also develop an appreciation for music while improving techniques in various dance styles.
Building confidence and self-esteem is a key focus at Performers Dance Academy. Students regularly participate in achievement and performance opportunities, boosting their confidence and expressive skills.
The Academy offers several programmes, including a Pre-School Dance Programme for young children. There are also opportunities to participate in Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Dance examinations and class awards, providing recognition for students' efforts. Additionally, the school organises show performances, open days, workshops, taster sessions, and choreography classes to enhance the dance experience.
Performers Dance Academy is currently accepting new pupils for the upcoming 2021/22 session. To secure your place, contact Susan at 07880630065. Join the Academy and start your journey in dance, skill, and artistic expression.
