Perth Doo'cot Cricket Club

Perth Doo'cot Cricket Club, situated in Perth, is a welcoming and friendly cricket club with a rich history. The club, which has recently undergone leadership changes, is excitedly preparing for the upcoming 2023 season.

The club boasts two teams, the 1st and 2nd teams, who will be competing in challenging yet exciting seasons. The Scottish Cup is a highlight for the 1st team, as they face a trip to Grange in early May. Additionally, they are defending their Three Counties Cup title. The 1st team will be playing in coloured kit this season, while the 2nd team will remain in white for now.

Kash will be leading the 1st team as captain, and Ivor will be taking over as the captain of the 2nd team.

Unfortunately, the club will be missing Usman Saeed this season due to a change in Home Office regulations. However, the club is delighted to have secured the services of Scotland international Safyaan Sharif, who will bring invaluable skills with both bat and ball. The club is also excited to welcome overseas amateur Joel Rush, a talented wicketkeeper/batsman from Down Under.

The women's section of the club is also expanding and is set to make their hardball debut in partnership with Meigle. The club's talented U-12, U-14, and U-16 sides will be playing a host of fixtures throughout the season. Additionally, the club organises Sunday and midweek recreational matches for all members to enjoy.

Perth Doo'cot Cricket Club has invested in a FrogBox streaming kit, enabling fans to watch the action on their YouTube channel. The club encourages members to support these investments by paying membership subs promptly, attending social events, and contributing ideas for sponsorship. Individual match ball sponsorships or kit sponsorships can make a significant difference for the club.

New members are always welcome, whether they are new to cricket or experienced players. The club proudly runs junior coaching sessions on Monday evenings and senior nets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The club is a member of PACES, demonstrating their commitment to providing a positive cricketing experience for all members.
