About

The Caboolture Swimming Pool, a popular swimming club in Brisbane, is excited to promote an upcoming local swimming event. This event is not to be missed by all the enthusiastic swimmers out there!

In collaboration with the Moreton Bay Regional Council, the Caboolture Sports Club, and the Federal and State Governments, the Petersen Road Sports Ground in Morayfield is undergoing a remarkable transformation. A new rugby union and touch football facility is being constructed, with a total investment of $6.15 million. This fantastic development will greatly benefit approximately 2,000 local players who currently utilise the existing facility.

Thanks to a successful sports infrastructure partnership between the Council and Caboolture Sports Club, this project is yet another testament to their commitment to enhancing sports facilities in the area. It follows the recent completion of a top-of-the-line indoor cricket training facility in Caboolture.

The newly constructed facility at Morayfield will boast an impressive clubhouse, complete with multipurpose changerooms, modern amenities, a well-equipped kitchen, viewing decks, and even tiered seating. The existing clubhouse will be demolished to make way for this exciting upgrade.

These improvements are particularly significant for the Caboolture Snakes Rugby Union Club and Caboolture Touch Association. With better facilities, they can now accommodate even more players, including the growing number of women who have taken a keen interest in both sports. The upgrades will also bolster the Snakes' ambitions of entering the Queensland Premier Rugby competition. It's an exciting time for the club as they hope to attract more fans and aspiring juniors, providing them with a pathway to play at higher levels.

The CEO of Caboolture Sports Club expressed sincere gratitude to the Moreton Bay Regional Council and both levels of government for their invaluable support in bringing this project to fruition. This impressive collaboration ensures that the local sports community can enjoy enhanced facilities and opportunities for years to come.

Get ready, swimming enthusiasts! Mark your calendars for this exciting event at Caboolture Swimming Pool. It's the perfect opportunity to showcase your swimming skills and be part of a thriving sports community. Don't miss out on the fun!
