Welcome to Phoenix Bowmen Target archery club, a well-established club located in Copley near Halifax, Yorkshire. Offering both outdoor and indoor shooting facilities, our club provides a fantastic setting for archery enthusiasts. Affiliated with Archery GB, the Northern Counties Archery Society, and the Yorkshire Archery Association, Phoenix Bowmen is a respected and dedicated community.
At Phoenix Bowmen, we cater to archers of all levels. Whether you are a beginner, experienced, or considering a return to archery, you will find a warm and welcoming environment here. With our expertise in recurves, barebows, compounds, and English longbows, we are able to support a wide range of archery preferences.
While target shooting remains our primary focus, our members also actively participate in field archery and clout archery shoots. We believe in providing opportunities for archers to explore different disciplines, thereby enhancing their overall skills and enjoyment of the sport.
If you're new to archery or simply want to give it a try, we offer beginner's courses on a regular basis. These courses are perfect for individuals who are just starting out or those who wish to refresh their knowledge. You can find more information about these courses on our Lessons page.
In addition to our regular courses, we also provide Have A Go Archery sessions. These sessions take place both indoors at Fire and Water in Sowerby Bridge, as well as outdoors at Old Rishworthians in Copley.
