Pilates Encounter is a small and welcoming Pilates studio located in the heart of Chepstow, South Wales. Owned and operated by husband and wife team Matthew and Jayne Atwell, Pilates Encounter offers a range of Pilates classes for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Having previously run a successful studio in London, Matthew is a qualified Pilates teacher and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the studio. Together, Matthew and Jayne oversee the day-to-day running of the studio, ensuring a warm and supportive environment for all clients.

At Pilates Encounter, they specialise in teaching Pilates apparatus classes using unique pieces of equipment that were invented by Joseph Pilates himself in the early 1900s. These apparatus use springs to create resistance, allowing for highly targeted and effective workouts. Whether you're looking to focus on rehabilitation, cross-training, or simply improve your overall fitness, Pilates Encounter has the equipment and expertise to meet your needs.

The fully equipped Pilates studio houses a variety of apparatus, including a Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, and Wall Tower. There are also smaller items such as Magic Circles, stretchy bands, foam rollers, and small weights, which add versatility and variety to the classes.

Pilates Encounter takes pride in helping clients with a wide range of conditions and issues.
