Pincher Creek Dolphin Swim Club

The Pincher Creek Dolphin Swim Club, located in Pincher Creek, AB, is a competitive summer swim club established in 1961. As a member of Region F within the Alberta Summer Swimming Association, the club offers opportunities for young swimmers to participate in regional and provincial competitions. The club operates from May to June for Mini and Junior Dolphins, and continues from July to mid-August for intermediate and senior swimmers.

The Dolphin Swim Club was founded by Pool Supervisor Max Gibb, with the aim of providing swimmers with the chance to develop sportsmanship, athleticism, and personal character. Swimmers of all abilities are welcome to join, with the only requirement being the ability to swim one length (25m) unassisted. If families are unsure about joining the club, they can participate in Rookie Week, held from May 1-5, 2023, as a risk-free trial period to see if the club is the right fit.

The club offers a variety of training groups based on skill level, including Mini Dolphins, Junior Dolphins, Intermediate Dolphins, and Senior Dolphins. Parents with multiple children in the club or with schedule conflicts can discuss options with the club directors. While swim meets are not mandatory, they provide swimmers with the opportunity to showcase their skills at various competitions throughout the summer season.
