Pleasant Point Golf Club

The Pleasant Point Golf Club, located just 12 km from Timaru on State Highway 8, is a picturesque course that offers stunning views of the snow-covered foothills of the Southern Alps. Situated close to the township of Pleasant Point, the course is bordered by lush farmland, council reserves, and a deer park.

Many holes on the course provide breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making it a truly enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. Whether you walk the course or choose to navigate it with a cart or buggy, the golfer-friendly terrain ensures a comfortable playing experience for players of all ages.

The Pleasant Point Golf Club boasts a dedicated team of volunteers and a full-time Green Keeper, who work tirelessly to maintain the course and ensure that it is always in great condition. This commitment to course maintenance ensures that players can enjoy great year-round golfing opportunities.

The club welcomes visitors and invites them to participate in competition days. Affiliated members of NZ Golf can easily use the Dotgolf Kiosk to print their cards. It is important to record scores accurately and sign the card before placing it in the green fee box. The handicapper will record the card as soon as possible.

For daily competitions, simply hand in your card at the office before storing your gear.

During winter, there may be frost on the course, and in such cases, golf is not allowed until the frost has cleared, typically by 10:30am. It is significant to check the notice on the practise green for updates. The club asks for patience and requests that players wait for the frost to disappear completely before playing, as footprints on the greens can damage the grass and affect the experience of those playing later in the day.
