PMA Academy, located in Rayleigh, is a top-notch Jiu Jitsu school that offers a range of training programmes for children, teens, and adults. Affiliated with the Mauricio Gomes Legacy programme, PMA Academy is dedicated to providing high-quality Jiu Jitsu instruction and a supportive community for students of all levels and abilities.

Led by a team of experienced instructors, PMA Academy offers Jiu Jitsu classes that focus on individual development and success. The adult instructors at PMA Academy are not only highly skilled brown belt and above practitioners but are also first aid trained, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

The team at PMA Academy includes esteemed individuals such as Mauricio Gomes, an 8th-degree black belt and one of the few people to receive their black belt from the legendary Rolls Gracie. Lee Catling, the founder of PMA Academy, holds a 3rd-degree black belt, while Tom Wilson, the co-founder, is a 2nd-degree black belt. Other notable members of the team include Alfie Rafferty, the head coach and a black belt, as well as Steve Search, Craig Edwards, Jason Howard, and Brad Missen, all accomplished black belt instructors.

In addition to Jiu Jitsu classes, PMA Academy also offers Jiu Jitsu-inspired fitness classes and self-defence classes for both men and women. The academy believes in making the Jiu Jitsu experience as personal and enriching as possible, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for students to learn and grow.

PMA Academy offers various membership options to cater to different training needs. The Fundamental Membership, priced at 60 per month, allows individuals to train in any fundamental classes each week. The Intermediate/Advanced Membership, available for 72 per month, provides unlimited training in all classes, including Gi, No Gi, Boxing, and Wrestling. There is also a Ladies Membership for 35 per month, allowing unlimited training in any class.

Juniors and Emergency Services Memberships are also available at 35 and 54 per month, respectively.
