Point The Way Dance Studio, based in Woodford Green, is the go-to place for high-quality ballet, modern, and tap dance classes for kids starting from age three. Led by Catherine Bellardi, a seasoned teacher registered with both the Royal Academy of Dance and The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, the studio offers a structured yet dynamic learning environment. Catherine’s right-hand woman, Miss Naomi Williams, also brings her expertise as a qualified and registered teacher.

At Point The Way, new students can pay per lesson for the first three sessions before switching to half-term payments. Proper attire is a must—students are expected to wear suitable dance clothes.

Every two years, the studio puts on a spectacular performance that everybody looks forward to. Show Term requires extra rehearsals, all aimed at delivering an unforgettable event. The studio also focuses on examinations, with students participating in Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Examinations and exams by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance for modern and tap disciplines.

Parents get the chance to see their children’s progress during Watching Week, held at the end of each term. It’s a great moment for everyone to appreciate the hard work put in.

Classes are well-organised with a detailed timetable, offering sessions on Thursdays for different age groups and levels, including Imagi-Move for toddlers and an Adults Intermediate Ballet class.

Uniforms are essential here. Pupils need to wear the correct attire for all classes, with their names clearly marked on each item. To assist with costs, the studio offers a nearly-new box where parents can buy and sell gently used uniforms.

Hair must be worn in a bun, and jewellery is not allowed for safety reasons. Uniform sets vary by level. Beginners need a lilac leotard, skirt, and ballet shoes for girls, and a white T-shirt and navy shorts for boys. As students progress, the uniform requirements change accordingly.
