Polmonthill Ski Centre, run by the energetic Peter, is where Falkirk's sports enthusiasts get their ski and snowboard fix. This spot boasts a 100m artificial slope and a cosy 20m nursery slope, perfect for everyone from rookies to seasoned pros.

Both slopes at Polmonthill light up when it gets dark, so you can carve turns and shred no matter the British weather. It’s a year-round playground for all you winter sports lovers out there.

Peter’s team? Top-notch. Fully qualified, they’re ready to guide you whether you're four or eighty-four. For the little ones 3 and up, there’s a private half-hour lesson option. Group lessons are available too - skiing from 4 years and snowboarding from 8. So, you can learn alongside mates or make some new ones.

Getting to Polmonthill is a breeze. Punch in Avondale Rd, Polmont, Falkirk FK2 0YA in your satnav for a smooth drive. If you’re rolling in by train, Polmont station is your stop with trains from Stirling, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. Bus riders, catch the X38 and you’re practically there.
