Located in Yarraman Park, on the corner of McNeilly's and Madeira Packet Road, Portland Kart Club is a thriving sports club in Portland, Australia. The club's raceway, known as Yarraman Park Raceway, has been its home since the 1960s. The original track layout, 560 metres long and 4 metres wide with a spray seal surface, still forms the foundation of the current track. Over the years, the track has been extended to 752 metres, widened to 8 metres, and surfaced with hotmix.
One of the notable events hosted by Portland Kart Club is the Portland Street Grand Prix, which was first promoted by the club in 1997. Today, it is recognised as Australia's leading street meeting. With the support of Ford Racing Australia and the AGP Corporation, the meeting continues to grow and attract attention. The street meeting not only boosts the profile of karting but also helps in promoting the sport through extensive media campaigns and advertising.
