PowerSkate Program

Forest Hill Figure Skating Club invites all ice skaters looking to boost their skills to join the PowerSkate program at Grossman Arena Small Rink, kicking off on April 26, 2024. The program is designed to take skaters through six levels of skill progression, starting from the basics and gradually ramping up to more advanced techniques.

For those starting at Levels 1 to 3, the focus will be on mastering the fundamentals of skating. As skaters progress to Levels 4 to 6, the emphasis shifts towards honing technique, speed, agility, and other technical aspects while incorporating puck or ring handling into the mix.

Each skater will undergo an evaluation based on their performance and timed test results. These combined factors will determine whether they receive a Bronze, Silver, or Gold award for that particular level. To qualify for the program, participants must have successfully completed either PrePower 3 or Canskate 4.
