Power Volleyball Club, established in 2010, is a volleyball club in Winnipeg dedicated to providing a fun, safe, and supportive environment for athletes to develop their skills, build confidence, and make new friends. Our mission is to create a culture of respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship that prepares our athletes for success both on and off the court.
Throughout the year, we host a variety of tournaments for different age groups, including 14U girls, 15U girls, and 16U boys. Our tournaments feature MVOA referees and guarantee participants five matches. We also offer skills camps for different age groups to help athletes improve their volleyball skills and knowledge.
Our club's tryouts are typically 2–3 sessions in length, where coaches evaluate athletes for team placement. Athletes are guaranteed the first two tryout sessions, and unsuccessful athletes will be notified via letter, email, website post, or phone call. Formerly known as Pirates Volleyball, Power Volleyball Club was founded by Donna Alexander and Chris Halvorsen with the goal of helping school athletes become more competitive. As a small club that runs up to five teams each season, we are committed to providing a positive and enriching experience for all athletes who join our program.
