Prince Rupert Rowing & Yachting Club, established in 1909, is proud to be one of the oldest yacht clubs in Canada, located on BCs northernmost port. The club, founded by a group of pioneering Prince Rupert businessmen, has been in continuous operation since its inception. While most vessels in the club are powered by internal combustion engines, the name “Rowing and Yachting Club” is maintained to honour its heritage and the mariners who uphold the traditions of wind and man power today.
For visitors, the Yacht Club offers accommodation and services for ocean-going travellers to Prince Rupert, inviting them to experience the waterfront's rich history in the picturesque Cow Bay area. The club also welcomes new members, currently catering to approximately 100 members who come from out of town to enjoy the beauty of the Northern BC coast.
As an active part of the local boating community, the club is dedicated to connecting members and visitors with the unique businesses that make Prince Rupert special. Situated in BC's most northerly port, Prince Rupert is easily accessible by air, road, and rail systems, offering facilities for all types of pleasure and commercial vessels.
Guest moorage is available at Prince Rupert Rowing & Yachting Club, providing convenient access to downtown shopping, coastal cruising, fishing, and overnight stays. The club offers guest slips and a variety of services to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for visitors.
Located in Prince Rupert's Cow Bay area, the Yacht Club is surrounded by marine services, local restaurants, and shops, all within a few minutes' reach. Detailed maps of the marina's layout are available to help orient vessels during approach, with additional assistance provided for docking in challenging weather conditions.
