Progress Pickleball Club

Progress Pickleball Club, located in Toronto, is an indoor playground and pickleball court facility. The club was established in June 2014 to address the need for pickleball courts, initially for a month. Due to overwhelming demand, the club continued through the summer months when community centres were closed. Eventually, it was decided to keep the location open year-round, leading to the move to its current location at 291 Progress Avenue in Scarborough.

The club has evolved over the years, expanding from a 4-day-a-week operation to a 7-day-a-week club. With the increase in demand for pickleball courts in Toronto and nearby Markham, Progress Pickleball has collaborated with the city to add more courts to their facilities. The current location boasts 5 assigned courts, with plans to expand to 10 courts in late 2023. The facility is conveniently located just one block south from Highway 401 exits at Kennedy or Brimley, making it easily accessible for players from all over the city.

Progress Pickleball Club offers a variety of programs and events for players of all skill levels. They regularly run 5-week beginners clinics to introduce new players to the sport, with many participants moving on to advanced clinics or private lessons as they progress. The club is open 52 weeks a year and offers additional hours that can be booked and paid for.

The club prides itself on its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, with players of different skill levels coming together to play competitive games. When the club is busy, players are divided into groups based on skill level to ensure everyone has a chance to play and improve. Progress Pickleball Club is a drop-in facility, and they encourage new players and visitors to join in on the fun and take advantage of the various programs available to help them develop their skills.
