Promethean Mixed Martial Arts is a martial arts and fitness facility located in Tranent, East Lothian. They offer a range of classes for mixed, ladies only, kids, and teens in various arts such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Muay Thai, and Submission Wrestling.
The head coach of Promethean Mixed Martial Arts is Patrick Mckinnon. Patrick started his martial arts journey as the Lead Strength and Conditioning coach at Shooters Dundee in 2011. He learned the fundamentals of Mixed Martial Arts, Submission grappling, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu during his time there. After training Muay Thai at Genesis Gym in Marlow, England, Patrick returned to Scotland in 2017 and started Promethean Mixed Martial Arts in East Lothian.
Zander Macdonald is the BJJ and Kids BJJ coach at Promethean Mixed Martial Arts. He specialises in teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to kids aged 7-11. Zander can be contacted through his Instagram page @Train. Enjoy.
