Purbeck Yoga @ Harmans Cross Village Hall is a serene and welcoming yoga studio located in Swanage, offering a range of yoga classes and workshops to promote physical and mental well-being.
Owned and operated by Jodi Sanders, a dedicated and experienced yoga teacher with a passion for sharing the benefits of yoga with others. Jodi's personal yoga journey began 17 years ago and has led her to explore various yoga styles and traditions, including Hatha Yoga, Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa Flow. She incorporates elements from each of these styles into her classes, emphasising the connexion between breath and movement.
At Purbeck Yoga, the focus is on providing a safe and supportive environment for students to explore their own yoga practise. Jodi believes in empowering her students to listen to their bodies and make mindful choices in their practise, emphasising postural alignment, strength, stability, and flexibility. She also provides guidance on breath control (Pranayama) and deep relaxation techniques (Yoga Nidra) to help reduce stress and anxiety.
Jodi has completed her teacher training in Sydney, Australia and has further training in Pregnancy and Family Yoga with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. As a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with Yoga Alliance, she is committed to continued professional development and regularly attends courses and workshops to deepen her knowledge and understanding.
Whether you are new to yoga or have an established practise, Purbeck Yoga @ Harmans Cross Village Hall welcomes individuals of all ages, experience levels, and genders. The studio offers a range of classes tailored to different needs, including beginners' classes focusing on body control and postural alignment, as well as more advanced classes incorporating flowing sequences (Vinyasa), breath control (Pranayama), and meditation.
