Putney Netball Club, formerly known as Putney Ladies Netball Club, is a competitive and friendly netball club located in Putney, South West London. The club has a rich history and offers opportunities for both adult and junior players.
The club consists of seven squads, including five adult squads and two junior squads. The adult teams participate in various leagues, including Middlesex County Prem, Surrey County, Middlesex League Division 2, Surrey League Division 2 & 4, and Kingston 1, 5, 7 & 9. The junior teams compete in conjunction with Shan Netball Training Academy in Surrey League Division 8 and Kingston League Division 11.
Training sessions are held on different days depending on the squad. The A and B squads train indoors on Monday evenings at the Bank of England Sports Hall in Roehampton, while the C, D, and E squads train outdoors on Tuesday evenings at Froebel College Campus, which also serves as the location for home matches on Saturday mornings.
The club boasts a team of experienced and dedicated coaches. The Head Coach is Karyn Bailey, a former player in the SSN/VSNL leagues in Australia and the UK, representing clubs such as Melbourne Vixens, Adelaide Thunderbirds, and Surrey Storm. The Assistant Coach is Ciara W-D.
To join the club, members are required to pay monthly subscriptions of 38, which covers all training sessions and match fees. There is also a one-time joining fee of 10. Additionally, all members must have England Netball membership, which is paid annually at a cost of 50 per person.
Trials for the 2023-24 season have recently concluded, and the club is not currently accepting new players. However, there is an opportunity to join the waiting list by filling out the registration form on the club's website.
