About
If you're a rower or fancy giving it a go, Joe at Putney Town Rowing Club would love to have you! Nestled on the River Thames in Richmond, this club has been around since 1922 and has grown from 30 to over 300 members. They moved to a swanky new spot near Chiswick Bridge in the 80s, giving them loads of room and some stunning river views.
Completely volunteer-run, Joe and his crew make sure the vibe is always friendly and supportive. Everyone's welcome, whether you're a pro or a newbie. They've got different squads depending on your skill level: Men's, Women's, and Recreational. Each has its own training programme to help you get better and stronger.
Joe's club boasts 86 boats, with three shiny new ones this season. Besides rowing, they have top facilities like a gym, hall for group stuff, and even an erg room. Their 35 Concept2 ERG machines are always in top shape, ready for some serious workouts.
If you're curious, check out the Putney Town Rowing Club website or reach out to a squad coordinator to arrange a visit. Located at Kew Meadow Towpath, Richmond TW9 4EN, Joe and his team are excited to show you around and get you hooked on rowing. Visit the website for all the details and get ready to join a fantastic rowing community!
