The club opens for play on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at 2 pm, and lady players are particularly encouraged to join throughout the season. If you don't play bowls but are curious about the sport, you can pop in any Monday or Friday between 2 pm and 5 pm to observe the games. Additionally, the club is open at other times if you happen to be passing by and see someone playing.
The usual club days are Mondays and Fridays, where the Lancaster Competition takes place during the season. In the off-season, the club organises indoor bowls at the Lewisham Indoor Bowls Centre on Thursdays. Again, the office can provide the full schedule for these events.
During the winter months, members of Queens Mead Bowling Club gather to play darts and enjoy a coffee morning once a month. These gatherings also include raffle prizes for added amusement and excitement.
QMBC has a rich history and hosts matches with other clubs in North West Kent and even as far as the south coast. They partake in various types of competitions, including social matches, league matches, county competitions, and local competitions. The club also hosts its own internal Club Championships. With such a busy schedule, there is always a demand for new members.
