Rainbow Aquatics is a baby swimming school located in Westbury, New Zealand. With a focus on empowering parents to help teach their babies to pre-schoolers how to swim, Rainbow Aquatics offers inclusive and progressive courses designed to provide a fun and friendly atmosphere for learning.

The courses at Rainbow Aquatics are structured on a schedule of learning through exploration, scrutiny, and self-reflection. Our classes combine hands-on experience with child-led knowledge-based teaching, ensuring that each child can learn at their own pace. The Baby Swimming Course, called “Dive Right In”, is one of the most popular offerings at Rainbow Aquatics. Babies can join from birth, and mothers can join after their six-week check-up. The course utilises sensory exploration, songs, and activities to teach babies swimming skills. Submersion swimming is only introduced if and when the baby is ready and willing.

The Toddler Course, “Splashing Good Time”, is designed for children aged 12 months to 3 years. This course focuses on building confidence, coordination, and water safety in a fun and enjoyable environment. It provides the perfect foundation for toddlers to enter the world of swimming.

The Preschool Course, known as “Growing Together”, is tailored for children aged 2. 5 to 5 years. In this stage, students have the opportunity to push their skills, techniques, and confidence to a new level. Parents are still present in the water but take a step back to allow the children to become more independent.

These lessons bring joy and a sense of accomplishment to both the child and parent. STAnley awards and badges can be achieved in these lessons.

In addition to the group lessons, Rainbow Aquatics also offers private and unique lessons. These can be tailored to suit specific needs, focusing on water safety, sensory discovery, or one-on-one instruction. Lessons can even be conducted in the comfort of your own pool environment, with the curriculum customised to meet your personal needs.
