The head instructor, Mrs. Rachel Campion, is a highly qualified 3rd Degree Black Belt who started kickboxing in 2003 with PUMA. She fell in love with the sport and earned her Black Belt in April 2007. Mrs.

Campion felt welcomed and part of a close-knit martial arts family, and she learned valuable skills such as self-defence, punching/kicking techniques, blocking, and sparring. Kickboxing has not only helped her feel more confident but also motivated her to become an instructor and share her knowledge and experiences. She has been teaching since 2008 and currently runs three kickboxing schools in the Southampton area.

Another qualified instructor at RC Southern Kickboxing is Kim Hammonds, a 1st Degree Black Belt. Kim discovered kickboxing when she saw an advert in her local Co-op and decided to try it out. Contrary to her expectations of a violent and intimidating environment, she was welcomed with open arms and made to feel comfortable. Seeing the passion and skill of a young green belt in the class inspired her to pursue kickboxing.

After six years of hard work and dedication, Kim achieved her dream of becoming a Black Belt. She has even competed in tournaments and won medals. The supportive community at RC Southern Kickboxing is one of the things she enjoys most about practising the martial art.

James Phelps, a 1st Degree Black Belt, serves as an assistant instructor at RC Southern Kickboxing. He joined the class with his daughter when she was 8 years old, and they were both pleasantly surprised by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Through years of training and dedication, James has become a skilled kickboxer. He values the friendships he has made within the kickboxing community and appreciates the shared goal of learning and self-improvement.

As part of PUMA Martial Arts, RC Southern Kickboxing follows a syllabus of western kickboxing. The school offers more than just training sessions. Students have the opportunity to attend competitions, training camps, and seminars. There are also social outings, such as Christmas celebrations, and presentation evenings.

RC Southern Kickboxing welcomes individuals of all fitness levels and ages who are looking for a unique way to keep fit, gain confidence, and meet new people. The syllabus covers a range of techniques, including punches, kicks, blocks, self-defence, and sparring. Additionally, students have the chance to advance through the grading system from white belt to black belt.
