Spencer here, just popping in with a little note from the one and only Miss Madeline Redhead. You know her as the force behind Redhead Scott School of Dance, right here in sunny Nottingham. She’s got some exciting stuff to share about what’s happening on the dance front!
Madeline's set up this fantastic space for anyone dreaming of dancing their heart out. They’ve got classes for all levels, from intermediate to advanced. And get this—they’ve got two state-of-the-art studios with sprung floors, the same kind the Royal Ballet and Russian Bolshoi use. Not too shabby, eh?
The school follows the Royal Academy syllabus, which is a solid base for any dance style. It's not just about ballet either. There’s also IDTA tap, modern jazz, and even adult tap classes. Kids can start as young as 3, and Miss Madeline ensures every class fits just right for their age.
Every two years, students get to strut their stuff in a local theatre show—full-on costumes, stage lights, and an audience. It’s a brilliant chance to shine.
Let’s not forget the amazing teaching crew. Madeline teaches up to Grade 8 in the RAD ballet exams and the IDTA medal awards in ballet. Miss Gemma Hembury handles the serious stuff— Advanced level vocational syllabi, both in ballet and, of course, tap and modern jazz.
With classes all week long, including Saturdays, there’s plenty of flexibility to fit everyone’s schedule.
