### Note to the Sports Community from Redhill Archers’ Organiser, Sarah

Redhill Archers, based at Wythall Park in Birmingham, has been a cornerstone of the archery community since 1971, celebrating 50 years of archery. Formed to provide a welcoming environment for archery enthusiasts, the club primarily focuses on target shooting but also organises clout and field shoots.

A key highlight is the dedicated shooting grounds available for members, though safety regulations do apply. In 2014, the club's commitment led to the construction of their own range and headquarters, allowing year-round shooting for members. Sarah and the team also welcome visiting ArcheryGB members by appointment and offer the venue for coaching and group hire.

Club Nights run on the field during summer months on Tuesdays and Thursdays for members to come together. There’s also a junior session on Mondays for young archers. In winter, sessions move indoors, with Tuesday nights in the Range and Thursdays in Park Hall.

For newcomers, Redhill Archers, led by Sarah, offer occasional taster sessions and courses. These sessions are perfect for anyone interested in trying archery without a full commitment. Information on upcoming taster sessions can be found on the club’s events page.

The club also hosts multiple tournaments annually, providing chances for members to compete and hone their skills. There's a vibrant juniors club, offering coaching, social events, and competitions for young archers.

Redhill Archers, under Sarah’s guidance, runs regular beginners courses by trained coaches, giving a safe and friendly introduction to archery. These courses are volunteer-run, so there might be a waitlist. Interested individuals can register online and will be contacted as spaces become available. Note that the Spring 2024 beginners' course waitlist is currently closed until February 2024.

The club also holds “Have a Go” days for those who want a brief taste of archery, open to adults and children aged 8 and over.

To meet demand, Redhill Archers organise taster events and senior and junior beginners' courses throughout the year. Due to limited spaces, early booking or registering interest is advised.
