The midweek competitions are subject to weather conditions, and the final decision is made by the knowledgeable “Fishing Club Captain.
Aside from organised competitions, the club also arranges separate beach and freshwater trips, creating additional opportunities for members to explore various fishing locations and techniques.
A notable facility provided by the Redlands RSL Fishing Club is the “Huts” located on North Stradbroke Island. These huts serve as a base for fishing and crabbing activities and also provide overnight accommodation for members. Equipped with comfortable sleeping quarters, a full-service kitchen, hot shower, and eco-friendly toilets, the huts offer a perfect retreat for relaxation and unwinding after a day of fishing.
General meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Redlands RSL Meeting Room.
