The MCC Bowls Section - Swinburne Avenue is thrilled to be hosting the upcoming Regional Bowls Victoria Championships. It's an event that really showcases the talent and competitive spirit of our local bowlers.
During the Yarra Region finals, our men's team, made up of Simon Naughton, Scott Mejean, Mike Haigh, and Brendan Gallagher, battled it out in a nail-biting final against Bundoora. Despite a valiant effort, they finished as runners-up by just one shot.
On the ladies' side, Tris Doolan MCC led a composite team that included players like Trish Cullinane MCC, Jody Neville, and Sammy Atkinson Richmond. It was edge-of-your-seat action right to the final end, but our players managed to secure a two-shot victory with some fantastic play.
A big congratulations to all our players for their outstanding performance in the championships. We can't wait to see what excitement the upcoming event will bring!
