Rideventures utilises standard yellow signs with black arrows, which are attached to sign posts, telegraph poles, or even freestanding on electric fence posts. Most junctions have two signs, occasionally supplemented by a third sign. To avoid confusion, route splits are clearly marked to indicate where shorter distances diverge from the long route.
Additionally, caution signs are placed to warn cyclists of any hazardous descents or road conditions, ensuring safety throughout the event. Rideventures also puts up signs to inform other road users of the ongoing event.
Food provision is an essential aspect of the cycling experience at Rideventures. To ensure participants stay fueled throughout their ride, food stops are provided every 25 miles. The number of food stops varies depending on the length of the route, with the 100-mile ride having three stops and the medium and short routes having two and one stops, respectively. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, wrapped food served in brown paper bags has been introduced, with each participant receiving one pack at each food stop.
At the first food stop, cyclists can expect delectable cakes and sweet flapjacks, while the second stop offers a combination of sweet and savoury snacks. The third food stop predominantly features savoury food options such as ham or cheese baps. Additionally, clementines and bananas are available at certain food stops. Many food stops are located in village halls, providing access to restrooms and a small supply of inner tubes, First Aid, and bike lubrication.
